The Case of the Wrongly Dotted I– In a previous post I wrote that I identified one set of my great-great-great-grandparents as Seaborn and Mariah Tindal. Well, further research has led me to believe that Mariah is actually Hannah. I was never able to find a record of a Mariah Tindal in Alabama. However, Seaborn Tindal appears in the 1870 and 1880 U.S. Census with a wife named Hannah. Interestingly enough, Seaborn and Hannah’s oldest child is listed as Frank Tindal, which leads me to believe that he is the future Frank Gilley. (I’ll toss around some theories for the name change in a later post). Click the link below to view the Census. The Tindal family is the second from the top.
